Works perfectly, but . . . . . December 26, 2008 I bought this to connect a Delphi SkyFiII to a Terk outdoor XM antenna. The antenna has a coax connection and comes with an adapter to plug this cable into. A rubber boot (provided) covers the connection from the cable to the adapter to the antenna. The issue is the cable-to-adapter connection is a slip fit - and it slips. I tried using coax all the way into the house, but had no signal strength when it was all said and done. So, I used a 3' RG6 coax to get the slip-fit connection to a place I could protect it and take any wind or other stress that would make it come apart out of the picture. I know you have to limit how much coax you use because the signal goes away in a hurry, but 3' resulted in no signal loss. After all that, everything was perfect. I then added an XM signal repeater and that was icing on the cake. The whole package is fantastic - I just don't like the slip-fit connection on an outdoor antenna. Maybe should have researched a coax-compatible amplifier, but in the end, this is working, so . . . . .we're happy.
It does what it is supposed to do November 2, 2008 This item really doesn't rate a review but here it is anyway.
It works as an antenna lead extension and does the job I wanted it to do.
It is too bad that XM Radio uses proprietary things for all its radios but it is the way of the world we live in.
connector problem October 11, 2008 I have a TAO XM2GO receiver and wanted to add an external antenna to not have the wire for the internal antenna in my way all the time. So I bought an XM6 roof antenna (TERK) and what was said to be a cable for XM Home Receivers (XM-EXT50) also by Terk. One gets no options or explanations as to what fits where and the cable will not connect to the XM6 if I use the other end to plug into the Tao. I either need a connector conversion plug or a different cable but who knows what that might be. I now find out the TAO isn't even being sold anymore. Nothing but trouble with all this electronic stuff being replaced every time yu turn around.
Works great April 7, 2008 This was just what I was looking for. I had it hooked up and ready to use in around 5 minutes!
Very good product March 28, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Works great, nice clean signal. Like the other reviewer, I too had an issue with a 90 degree connection. But since it's indoors, it really doesn't matter if the rubber boot covers the connector.
