fantastic rcvr....read the fine print December 29, 2008
I got this radio for Christmas and the features far outweigh those of my old Roady2. However, be aware, it says plug and play. This only applies if you have a cassette player in your vehicle. If you do not you will NEED either the FM direct adapter, a mini jack to mini jack cable if your car stereo has an AUX jack or the Sureconnect kit. This was not very clear from any description, but it is a must have to make the XM play through your radio. Very poor instructions, otherwise it is a great piece of equipment.

This is a nice unit with multiple display types and the color really enhances the display. The 60 minute rewind feature is really nice, but it isn't as easy to rewind and fast forward within a program/segment. Be warned: The FM Modulator only works when it is plugged in the vehicle cradle (in vehicle mode) and is pretty weak. However, for those who can use a direct connection like an mp3/auxiliary jack or cassette adapter, the lineout volume level can be set to adequately send out a decent volume level.

This is a pretty good radio. Good display. Easy to use. You need the service to use it though and it's not what it used to be. As you may know, XM has merged with Sirius, so they've combined stations. The format more or less is a bunch of "Top 40" stuff you can use on a good broadcast radio, assuming you live in a pretty good town.
if you're new to XM, I would go to the XM site and get a deal on a cheaper radio to see if you like it before investing in a more expensive receiver like this one. It's the radio and you LISTEN to it, not look at it, so what does it matter if it's black and white?
Loved the screen, poor Quality. December 24, 2008
I bought this radio about 9 months ago and it has now died. Sorry but this thing has no moving parts, it is a radio for crying out loud and it stops working after 9 months?
I loved the screan, the color was fantastic and you could read it on a sunny day in your car. This is why I bought it. Also had to re-program stations and other settings when I took it from car to house on occasion. This was a real pain.
Would I buy this radio again. No.

This is my third satellite radio purchase and this is the best radio yet. The color display is a nice change from the earlier models. I would recommend to anyone.
