 Best bluetooth for truck drivers! January 13, 2009

I drive a truck and found out how hard is finding a good bluetooth headset. Many I have tried worked fine, but the biggest problem was that other party could not hear me (because of engine noise). When I accidentally found this one I gave it a try. And it is awesome. People think that I am talking straight to my phone. Call quality in my opinion is even better when I use this headset.
PROS:
- perfect voice quality
- battery lasts long
- noise cancelling microphone makes others to hear you
- solid
CONS:
- bulky
- expensive (but worth this money)

When I put this headset on to talk to family and friends I always adjust the volume on my phone down a couple of bars. The sound quality and amplification are great, I'm a little hard of hearing(age I guess). I bought one for my wife and when we are traveling on business the conversations are never interrupted by not being able to hear each other. I have tried many wired ear plug/microphone sets and this blue tooth set is the best!

Nuance gives the VXI BlueParrott B150 a rating of 4 out of 5 dragons, and my experience confirms that it is much better for voice recognition than the 2-dragon Voyager 510. Recognition errors dramatically decreased when I switched to this microphone. Contrary to one of the comments, I use the microphone with a laptop that runs on Vista and have no problems. Initial recognition of the headset by the computer was a breeze, and the two work together just fine. I have not tried to use the headset with the more primitive voice recognition software Vista provides.

Works as I expected. Volume goes up pretty high if you need.
I use it with my computer. I've never tried it with a phone.
I get a metallic ticking noise if I turn it up loud, but I've got the same sound when using other bluetooth headsets with my computer so either its a bluetooth thing or my computer outputs the noise.
Either way at more normal sound levels the noise is inaudible.
