Bought in March, Dead in September September 7, 2010 Emrim A little over a summer of use and the left earbud goes mute. I had the j1 and they lasted much longer. Disappointing to say the least.
J2 are a better buy even at full price... September 7, 2010 Craig (NY) I break so many headsets that I usually just buy the cheap cheap kind at food stores... The comfort level isn't good but it gets me through the day..
A few months ago I decided against going skully candy for the 50th time, and bought 3 pairs of j2's on a really good sale... I loved em, Plenty of bass and they were very comfortable.. Also the length of the cord was plenty enough for storing in my pocket..
Anyways like normal they all broke.. One pair lasted a full month and the next 2 broke within a week.. Granted it was my fault do to my roughness but I was still pleased overall..
Fast forward a few months later and I see the J3 sets on sale and without hesitation jump on a pair of black and a pair of silver...
The cord length is 6-12 inches to short in my opinion.. I wear my sets for 12 hours a day and move around a ton.. At certain stretching points the headphones will come out of my ear.. I'm 5'10" so I'm not a huge guy..
Next, There is almost no bass and the quality of whats there isn't very pleasant.. treble is fine..
The look and feel of the buds is fine but overall I was better off spending $6.99 on some piece of *&^* store brand..
I "broke" em in like the paper said but still..
MY HONEST OPINION FOR JBUDS IS BUY A PAIR OF J2s.. Don't waste your money on j3s
Did not work September 6, 2010 Bark Twain (Seattle, WA) Headphones had a short right out of the box, tried in several different music players.
Good, but make sure you test thoroughly September 6, 2010 Kranu When the earbuds first arrived, the appearance amazed me. The material the wire was made out of was pretty, and the earbuds fit snugly in my ear. At first, when I used the earbuds, they didn't sound that great. However, after reading the instructions, I learned that you must BURN-IN THE EARBUDS. After doing this, the sound quality greatly improved.
My purchase from Amazon also included a case to hold the earbuds. The case looks quite stylish. I had difficulty opening and closing it, but I got used to if after a few tries.
Anyways, here is the main reason why I am writing this review. Make sure you test your earbuds THOROUGHLY! Mine were going great, but I ran into one problem. Sometimes, the sound only came out of one earbud. I found the reason for this was because I had to rotate the earbuds to a certain angle so that there was contact. If I rotated the plug just a little bit, sound only came out of one bud. I was disappointed because these earbuds were really high-quality otherwise. Fortunately, I was still able to return them in time.
JBuds J3 In-Ear Earphones September 5, 2010 KhangFamily I bought these earphones for my 15 year-old daughter and she uses them with her iPod touch 3rd Gen.
She loves them. Design and color (pink) match is fantastic and the travel case (round pouch) is a big plus. The company must have paid a lot of attention to small details. My daughter told me that it took some time these earphones produce good sound. I guess there needs to be some aging period. Only reason I give 4 stars is they don't look sturdy enough to last long (especially the cord). Overall, these earphones are good value for the price range of $30-40.
