If liquids are ever spilled onto the mattress, simply remove the protector and place directly into the washing machine. Our cover protects a king-size memory-foam mattress used by my toddler for playing, sleeping, and even the occasional picnic. It has faced many wet insults from various sources and has worked 100% reliably every time. It is comfortable to sleep on (don't even notice it's there), has no smell, makes absolutely no sound, and fits easily on the mattress. It has been washed many times (we hang dry it). It just works! We love it.

I bought this mattress protector because the kind you can buy at Walmart wear out so fast due to washing. I was surprised at how you can not tell it is even there. I haven't had to wash it, yet, but so far I like it.
