Inspired by the beautiful floral patterns of Portmeirion Potteries' Botanic Garden table-and cookware, this wastebasket is a charming addition to that classic collection. Measuring 12 inches high by 9-1/2 inches square, it provides a useful and decorative addition to the living room or home-office. Made from sturdy painted wood, the basket has a scalloped top edge, and each side is painted with a different piece of flower-filled Botanic Garden earthenware. A colorful butterfly motif complements the floral pattern, contrasting with the simple, dark green interior. The painted surface can be wiped clean with a damp cloth, but it should not be immersed in water. --Simon Leake
