Product Description
One of the best features of a stand mixer is that you can add other ingredients while the mixing action is occuring. However, it can be a little tricky trying to get those eggs, or that sugar into the bowl, without getting in the way of a moving beater, or without ingredients sloshing outside the bowl. The answer to these difficulties is a pouring shield. The chute lets you add ingredients from a safe distance while the "collar" prevents splashes from wet ingredients and "puff" from dry ingredients.

The item is not as pictured. It shows a full round shield but the one I received had an opening and only goes around about 3/4 of the bowl. Still, works well and am happy with it. Definitely helps keep splattering down although you do still have to be careful when adding liquids.

When I bought my mixer, it didn't have this item (the new ones do). What a pleasure when adding dry ingredients and not spilling them all over the counter!!
