I really love love these containers! They are great for fresh produce. The little racks in them keep the food elevated so they aren't sitting in their juices rotting so the fruit/veggies stay good a lot longer. I am on my second set because I love them so much! The two little containers are tiny though. I put slice cheese in them and they just barely fit. The big container usually holds about two containers of strawberries with a little leftover room. They are constructed well and come clean no matter what you have in them (i.e, tomato sauce.) Also the little vents just sit in there so you can remove them if you want to store something else in them as I often do. The lids also have little vents in them to help the food stay fresh. I can generally keep strawberries good for about a month or so. And that is saying something for strawberries. :) Highly recommend. And you can't beat the price!

I purchased 2 boxes of these containers several months ago and have been using them virtually everyday. I use the little ones for carrying fruit (grapes, cherries, etc) to work. I also have set aside one small container to store chopped green onions since I am not able to use up the bunch as fast as it dries out. I was able to store chopped onions for over 2 weeks and they were still bright green and fresh (not wilted). Sometimes I prep my veggies for the week and so I use the bigger containers to store washed cherry tomatoes, lettuce, chopped carrots, celery, etc. These containers are so helpful and really work in keeping my produce fresh for an extended period of time!! I'm very happy with my purchase and have been recommending these items to all my friends and family.

The bottom tray keeps produce from resting in water while allowing the resting water to provide humidity. Produce will last much longer in this environment than in the plastic bags in which you bring home produce from grocery store. Furthermore, because bottom trays are removable, container and tray can be easily washed in dishwasher. This is an example of a simple and effective innovation.

I like the product, however, the price has doubled since I ordered them earlier this month, May 2010. I paid $9.97.
The price obviously fluctuates. Earlier today it was $19.97!
