Great product! Love it! August 18, 2010 kalyson (Sacramento, CA USA) This is a very well-made container. Someone in the family even knocked it over in the refrigerator and not a drop spilled out.
I found the caps very simple to use. I can't really see how it would be difficult to figure out -- just put it on the jar, twist the center piece to the right while holding the outer piece still. Very, very easy.
Waste of money, false advertising July 24, 2010 Ilya P. (CA USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I ordered the 70oz pitcher, after reading in the description that it has an air-tight seal lid which is what I was looking for.
When I received it I was surprised to see that the lid does not seal the pitcher, this is false advertising since the listing says about all sizes that they seal.
I am most probably going to go through the hassle of getting a refund, which will probably mean paying shipping both ways and then for a new pitcher which hopefully has a air-tight seal lid.
Absolutely love the design. Perfect sealing lid, solid thick glass. July 7, 2010 Roderic Rinehart (Heart of Rural Indiana) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have seen some reviews of these Bormioli Frigoverre pitchers say they couldn't figure out the lid. It took me all of 2 seconds to twist the knob and release its hermetic seal. THIS LID SEALS COMPLETELY FROM ODORS GETTING IN OR OUT.
The glass is solid, thick, and well-built.
Unless you have gigantic fat hands, you will not have any problem with the handle.
As for the pour, it is clean and drip-free. Again, I'm not sure how someone could have a problem pouring liquid out of a container. You tilt, the liquid comes out cleanly and into your cup of choice.
I can absolutely guarantee you will not regret buying this pitcher, and this company has won me over for future products as well.
Great Pitcher! May 4, 2010 Ivy Mercer Bishop (Hillsborough, NC) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
We just received two pitchers today in the mail. They were well-wrapped and arrived in great condition. We ended up buying from Ch*fs catalogue because they were back-ordered at other sites. The handle is not as close as you might be led to think. My husband (who has man-sized hands) is able to pick it up with no problem. All you need to do is pour, and maybe people want to wrap their whole hands around the pitcher to do that? Anyway, the lid is super-easy. We figured it out in two seconds. I guess that the main thing is that it takes two hands to work the lid...which I see is the only drawback in this pitcher. With one hand, you hold the outer part of the lid onto the pitcher, and with the other hand you twist the inner part of the lid clockwise or counter-clockwise (depending if you want to open or close it) and that's it! Easy as can be. It fits well in our new fridge. You don't need to have tall shelves to store beverages with this pitcher. Also, let me say that it is indeed a quality product because the product sticker came off with NO residue left on the glass! (Ha ha - seriously, though, I hate to have to scrub off sticker goo when I buy a new product.) I recommend this pitcher!
Compact April 29, 2010 PhoenixAD (Michigan, USA) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
So far I'm loving my purchase. It's a very compact pitcher and will fit just about anywhere. The lid does form an airtight seal provided you turn it. I tested this by flipping the pitcher upside down and there was no leakage. The opening is large enough to fit your hand through for easy cleaning.
The glass is very thick and pretty heavy. The lid is made of plastic and the company couldn't verify for me if it was BPA free or not. They said that companies in Europe are not yet testing for this in their plastics. Seeing as your beverage shouldn't be touching the top rim of the plastic, this should be a non-issue anyway.
Overall I've been using this to store tea at my work and it's working out quite well.
