Perfect for preschool snack September 7, 2010 Happy Mommy I bought this for my 3yo daughter's preschool snack (not lunch) because all the other stainless containers I found were simply too big for snack. This is the perfect size and I love the divider. There are no sharp bits on my container (as another reviewer mentioned) and there is no way food could get lodged under my divider (as another reviewer mentioned). My daughter can get the lid off and on by herself. For our purposes, it is perfect and I am so glad to have found it!
My son loves them September 3, 2010 C. Honess (Los Angeles, USA) We have a Duo & an Uno that I use for my son's lunch (he's almost 5). He can easily open & close both containers. In the Duo I put things like crackers, fruit, nuts, raisins, cheese etc.& in the Uno I put his sandwich/wrap/pizza/etc. wrapped up in a "Wrap & Mat" Wrap-And-Mat Food Pouch and Eating Mat I also put things like carrot sticks in with his sandwich inside the Wrap. The Wrap doubles as a place mat or a napkin. I put both of these tins in the fridge before he leaves for school then they stay nice & cool in a NY Built bag Built NY® Gourmet Getaway, BLACK along with a Kleen Kanteen water bottle.
I have had the containers for a few months now & have not experienced any chipping of the paint that others mentioned & I don't put mine in the dishwasher. The tins seem well made, no rough edges. I also find them very useful to take with us on outings on the weekends - they hold plenty of snacks for my 2 yr old & his older brother.
Difficult for kids to open. August 12, 2010 2KidMama I bought two of these with high hopes of replacing plastic bags in my kids' lunches. The containers are very nice and packed a great lunch, but neither of my kids (ages 6 and 4) could open them.
Great for little snacks August 12, 2010 Renee Shaeffer 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased the uno and duo containers for my toddler's snacks and couldn't be happier. I had been carting around many little sandwich bags in my purse. The duo keeps things organized and I usually use it for little sandwiches and cut up fruit or cookies. Nothing gets smashed and they have held up to dishwasher washing and toddler drumming. Very happy with these so far.
Overal a great product for your lunch bag July 31, 2010 D. Mantelli (Silicon Valley, CA USA) These are sturdy metal containers with a tight fitting lids, however it is not to tight where it would make it difficult to remove. They are attractive and come with a fixed divider so you can put two different food items in the container. They come in different sizes so you yo should be able to find the right size.
I have two of these an orange and a yellow. I have had these for over a month and they are stacked on top of each other in the lunch bag. They have proven to be durable with no paint flaking that was mentioned in one review. My Lunchbots do not have any tack welds, therefore, no sharp edges. I sharp edges were mentioned in another review. Maybe, they changed the design. This is a good sign, the company is responding to the consumer.
PRO: Sturdy, will not leach chemicals, reusable, and recyclable, multiple sizes, lighter than glass.
CONS: Divider can not be removed or moved, small items like nuts and seeds might crossover to other side of the food divider. So some of your trail mix might start mating with your goldfish crackers.
