Product Description The Eastman® 13-in cooking gloves boasts an all-leather, heavy-duty construction that's designed to protect from hot oil and steam.
Amazon.com Review Lined throughout, these colorful gloves protect hands and forearms from heat, oil, steam, and smoking franks. And they're comfortable, with sheepskin lining for the back of the hand and soft fleece for the palm. You won't notice the stitching on them, either, because it's tidily inside out. A far cry from clumsy oven mitts, these gloves give your fingers full articulation for basting, flipping, or rotating grill items. Use them at a backyard cookout or for putting extra kindling on a fire at the campsite. These gloves feature the Eastman Outdoors logo in gray. --Emily Bedard

Tough Gloves July 18, 2010 Lindy S. (Richland Springs, Texas) Great for handling hot stuff while cooking outside. I bought my husband a turkey fryer and these to go with it and they are very suited for that use. Much safer than going without!
Quality not quite up to par. July 12, 2010 mineralslee Purchased the gloves with new charcoal smoker. Although they work O.K., I felt the quality of the gloves wasn't quite up to par. Internal lining of the gloves around the thumb was loose creating issues getting your thumb placed correctly. Also, thought the gloves were a little tight on my hand.
They're not oven mitts June 3, 2010 minnemom (Minnesota) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I thought these would be good heat-resistant mitts, until I almost burned my hand transferring a cast-iron pan from the grill to the adjacent patio table. I guess I should have read the description better, for using them as potholders isn't really advertised.
They may work well for what's in the description, but I need to keep looking for some good mitts for handling hot pans.
The ultimate oven mitts March 29, 2010 T. ROBERTSON (San Diego, CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought two pairs of these. One for brewing beer and using with the grill out back and the other to replace my oven mitts. In both instances they work great! The longer sleeve allows you to work over a hot surface like a boiling pot or open grill or reach into an oven without heating up your arms and saves you from brushing your arm against something hot. The insulation on them is great too allowing you handle most anything without fear of being burned.
Good Heat Insulation and Durability February 17, 2010 Charles D. Pearson (Adrian, MI United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I wear these gloves to remove the grate and ash tray from my fireplace to dump the ashes. There are still glowing coals when I remove them and these gloves protect me from burns as long as I don't hold the grate or tray for an extended period of time.
