Inspiring! February 9, 2008 I've used this cookbook for well over a year now, and I still find new and exciting recipes to try. And for the most part, they're all really easy and will certainly help the first-time cook begin to appreciate food as a work of art. Oh, and the palette will be over-joyed as well!!
Yummy Italian Dishes January 28, 2008 I love Giada so I really liked this book. It had lots of pictures- which I love plus the recipes were real easy to follow and it speaks to you in a way that she would from her show. I have tried the chicken parmisean recipe which came our really tasty and also the fetticini which was better refried the next day. I bought some ingredients to make some of the desserts and can't wait to try them. I think her Family Dinners book is better but this book was great to have as well.
The first cookbook that I've wanted to make every recipe January 26, 2008 I got this for a gift when it first came out and it really is simple and delicious recipes. I think I have post-its on every recipe and I pretty much have made them all. The ingredients are things I keep on hand most of the time anyway. I may have to purchase an Italian cheese, pancetta or prosciutto but now you can find these anywhere. This is the cookbook that got me hooked on cooking all the time now.
A Must for every kitchen! January 20, 2008 If we can get 1 or 2 good recipes from a book, then we're satisfied, but every one of Giada's recipes that we have tried, turns out fabulous! Every One!
This book has lots of delicious, easy to follow recipes, more so than any other cook book I've seen (and we have quite a collection).
The recipes found in books by most famous chefs, often contain exotic ingredients that (at least in my region) are hard to find or down-right impossible to obtain, rendering the book pretty much useless. Not so with this book, the recipes have simple ingredients with delightful flavor combinations, suitable for everyday, and good enough to WOW guests at a dinner party, your guests will think you slaved over a hot stove all day.
Seriously, this is an excellent book for both the novice and experienced cook, and after trying many of the recipes from it I've purchased additional copies to give as gifts.
Nice Cookbook January 14, 2008 Very nice cookbook, recipes require lots of prep work though. Great food but not easy.
